Directions:-
On leaving Inverness, take the A9 north initially
and then, at the Tore Roundabout, the A835 towards
Ullapool.
If you wish to take the scenic route, turn left at
Garve on to the A832 heading for Achnasheen,
Kinlochewe, Gairloch and Aultbea which is just off
the main A832 down a side turning on your left. This
route will take you approximately 2 hours to reach
us from Inverness (not allowing for stoppages to
look at or photograph scenery or watch wildlife).
If you prefer to take the more direct route, stay on
the A835 at Garve, continuing towards Ullapool until
you reach Braemore Junction some 12 miles before
Ullapool - the junction is well signposted. Turn
left here on the A832 and carry on round to the
Aultbea turn-off on your right. This route will take
you approximately an hour and three quarters to
reach us from Inverness.
Having turned off the A832 into Aultbea, continue
straight on through the village. After about 1 mile,
you will see a sign "Mellon Charles" on your left.
Continue straight on up a hill. Just over the top of
the hill on your left, immediately at the end of a
shed, is the lane to our house, which is signposted.
Take the 1st right down the lane. You can see our
house from the road. |
